If you are PROVIDING YOUR OWN BOAT:

Must provide up to date proof of insurance ahead of time. Training prices, 6 passenger capacity, and other requirements are still in effect.
Most of our clients are new boat owners or their spouses. Do you or your passengers know how to handle an emergency on the water? Can your spouse or friend take over if the operator becomes incapacitated or impaired? It’s best to be prepared before the need arises, and emergencies are never predictable. We can design a course to suit the needs and experience level of you, your family, and friends.
There will be a 2 hour minimum (Usually docking drills only), but the standard course with hands-on training will range from 4-6 hours depending on the customers experience level and needs. You will receive a spiral bound book of course material and a study guide for the Florida Boaters Safety Course.
If you are training on your own vessel, pricing is $3.50 per foot / per hour. If you need a boat supplied for the course, reference the weekday and weekend pricing above. Pricing includes the first 2 course attendees. An additional charge of $50 per hour will be applied for each person beyond the initial two attendees.
Also, please no children less than 14 years of age in class. Children 14 years of age and older are allowed to take the Florida Boaters Safety Online Course.

Captain- $350 per day. Per Diem- $150 per day
Deck Hand- $200 per day. Per Diem- $150 per day
Engineer- $300 per day. Per Diem- $150 per day (Only required if vessel is 70’ or larger)
If the crew is forced to stay in port due to weather or mechanical malfunction, only per diem is owed for that day.
All travel to the vessel to be transported is at the above rate. Client pays for hotel, flights or rental car, whichever is convenient for the Tampa Bay Captain Services staff.
Up to 50’ vessel – Captain and 1 deck hand required
50-69’ vessel – Captain and 2 deck hands required
70’ or larger vessel – Captain, 3 deck hands, and 1 Engineer required
Overland transports are paid at the rate of $60 per hour, including travel time to the vessel to be transported within the state of Florida. Transports outside of Florida may be subject to per diem and/or hotel stays. Each job is unique, so call us for a quote!
50% Deposit required up front based on average slowest speed.
